Privacy Policy
Effective October 27, 2026
Consentiva is a system developed and provided by The Equation Agency, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use Consentiva, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and the public part of your passkey (we never see the secret part). Accounts created before passkeys may still have a salted one-way password hash until their owner signs in once.
- Survey data you record: radio-spectrum measurements, the time of each measurement, the precise GPS location of your phone during walks you start, and your receiver settings.
- Marks: the type of mark, any note, and, when you hold the talk button, a short audio recording.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never receive your card number; we receive a customer ID, your plan and its status. When you subscribe we also record when you agreed to the Terms and the IP address and browser you used, as proof of the agreement.
- Technical data: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and network data (such as IP addresses) processed by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
- Video clips (paid plans): when you choose to record, the camera video, with the time, your GPS position and the RF reading drawn into the picture, and sound only if you switch it on; plus the clip's SHA-256 fingerprint.
- Surveys (Pro): the survey name and site you enter, any floor plan image you upload, and the positions you tap on it, each tied to a time in a walk.
- Share links: if you share a walk, we store the link, the title you chose, your options (video, evidence download) and a count of how many times it was opened. We do not record who opened it.
- Support tickets: what you write to us, any screenshot you attach, and, if you leave the box ticked, technical details (plan, app version, phone and browser) that help us fix problems.
- Site analytics: our website and app pages use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure page speed. It sets no cookies, does not track you across sites and does not build a profile of you; we see only aggregate numbers such as page views, referring sites and countries. It is not used on your walk reports.
How we use it
- To run the service: store your walks, learn what is normal for each location and time of day, flag unusual signals, and produce your reports and evidence packages.
- To bill subscriptions, secure accounts, prevent abuse, and fix and improve the service.
- In de-identified form (measurements without your account or identity attached), to improve the baselines the service uses.
We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Service providers acting for us: Cloudflare (hosting, database, file storage and website analytics) and Stripe (payments).
- If you dispute a payment, with Stripe and your card issuer: your account email, when and from which IP address and browser you agreed to the Terms, the billing emails we sent you, and a summary of your use of the service (sign-in times, walks and their dates).
- Anyone with a link you create. A share link opens a public page with the walk's readings, spectrum and summary, and, only if you leave them on, your video clips and the evidence package. It does not show your email, a map or your voice notes. A video clip has your GPS position drawn into the picture, so sharing it makes that position public. Anyone who has the link can see the page, and may copy or repost it.
- People you add to your team (plans that include team workspaces): they can read your walks, reports and surveys, but cannot change or delete them. You can remove them at any time.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users, the public or us.
- In a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition, under this policy's protections.
Evidence packages and reports you download are yours; you decide who to share them with.
How long we keep it
- Walks recorded on the Free plan are deleted automatically after 7 days unless you upgrade.
- Walks recorded on a paid plan are kept while your account exists, including after a subscription ends.
- Each record is protected by a tamper-evident hash chain; deleting walks removes their data and leaves a checkpoint so the remaining records can still be verified.
Your choices
- Download your walks at any time with the evidence package (paid plans).
- Stop sharing a walk at any time from the Share screen: the link stops working (a cached copy can remain for up to a minute).
- Ask us to delete your account and data: email support@consentiva.xyz.
- Location and microphone access are controlled by your phone and browser and are used only during walks you start.
Recording other people
Florida and several other states require the consent of everyone in a conversation before it is recorded. Use the hold-to-talk button for your own notes, and do not record other people's conversations without their consent.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and access to your walks is limited to your account. No system is perfectly secure; tell us right away if you believe your account has been compromised.
Children
Consentiva is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
